After the farce of Ruth Kelly being put in charge of key gay legislation by Bliar, Labour have done it again. How could they beat Ruth Kelly? We give you one Joel Edwards (pictured) who has just been appointed as a Commissioner to the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
Who's that, he sounds familiar? You'd be right. He's the general director of the Evangelical Alliance - you know, the intolerant gay haters who want us dead but are happy as they know we'll burn in hell?
Could Joel be different? Well, no. He was busy campaigning against a new crime of incitement to violence on the grounds of sexual orientation just last month. He's already said his views will direct his work.
So, another Labour victory for condemning bigotry and fighting for equality wherever it hides no doubt. What's next? Sending Blair to the Middle East as a peace envoy?!
We can't wait to see Stonewall taking this entrenched bigot with a mandate from the government out for lunch.
