A gay man has been seriously hurt after leaving a club in Vauxhall, according to early reports. He is reported to have been passing St George Wharf on Saturday lunchtime when high winds blew a large wooden fence surrounding a building site onto him.
Roads were closed whilst a the fire brigade secured the site and an air ambulance took the guy to hospital.
This is the second major incident involving this building site. A crane fell over nearly hitting the adjoining Lambeth Council offices just two weeks ago.
