“For those old enough to remember I bought this back in 1990, just before the last recession, in those days there was no cool trendy Hoxton or Shoreditch. There was the Bricklayers, Barlymow, Bassclef and the LA, I didn’t realize what the LA was to all the guy’s at the time...! After Michael died Max the owner was going to sell it to a yuppie wine bar but no, I borrowed begged and stole the vast amount of money and saved it. The Squatters had moved in and there was alot of work to be done we opened on the the 7th December with “Lonnie Gordon”. This time we will let the LA do the singing I will be there every Sunday like I was in the Old Days maybe some glitter and sequins you never know... Do you remember Millie on a Monday she dragged me up on the stage to eat 4 donuts, well I wasn’t capable of eating anything! What about when we did “This is your life” for her Lily Savage hosted it her Mum and dad were in the audience what a night! Or when Sir Ian Mc Kellen came in with a dud 20...
