Team damaged went out on Sunday in serious investigation mode. We visited Famous (good production but not enough punters), Fitladz and Hustlaball (fabulous except the exit.) Read on for more details.
Famous at Floridita on Sunday night was certainly a far better organised launch than Infinity's but less well attended. After paying ourselves in the coatcheck easy and down we went. The venue's very nice and whilst the door star seemed glum by that point in the weekend, that bar staff were professional and fun. Sadly the drink prices matched the surroundings which should put off the hard drinking lush crowd. Music was good fun tho and the crowd of well dressed gym types were complimented by a fleet of great go go boys and rent boys strutting their stuff. Sunday nights fashion crowd could do with somewhere new and we reckon this fits the bill as we're hoping it beds in over a few regular weekends.
We hit Fitladz on our way home Sunday and it was quiet as were most places we checked out - when the f*ck will they ever finish fannying about with the Victoria line? Forget the new trains, we just want any however packed train London Underground... Anyhoo, back to Fitladz. Whilst quiet we had the best time there for ages as folks were making an effort to chat and there was none of that walking around always trying to find something better that ends up with nothing at all.
After the boyfy moaned about us going out all evening in town there was nothing for it at 1am on a Monday morning but to go to Hustlaball. Boy are we glad we did tho we did for some reason think it was on at the old Colosseum first. It was one of the best nights we've been to in ages. The totty was tops with few frights to be had tho we sadly didn't check out Suzie's backroom thingy. Whereas we found the Hustlaball in Berlin a bit dreary with endless commercials for bad porn etc we managed to miss all that this time - except for one appalling ill matched singing number all compered by what from a distance looked like a 1980s tartan clad Toyah compere - was more Alternative Fashion Week for kids than hot men up for sex and dirty music. Anyhoo, we rate it above everything we saw this weekend but may avoid it next time as leaving was a monumental farce: earlier on they'd not had enough coat hangers so had to borrow them from any venue willing so it was all randomised. You can imagine how many bags people have at a fetishy sex event too. An hour we waited with some very pushy keen to leave and annoyed punters. Fix that and we'll be back.
