Evolved Events and Matinee London celebrates three years of cutting edge parties in the capital
It’s been a roller coaster three years of ground-breaking parties for the Matinee Group in London. The arrival of this particular Spanish import in the UK revolutionized the London gay scene, injecting a much-needed dose of adrenaline and passion into what was becoming a stagnant London gay scene, and initiating a surge of imitations.
After launching back in September 2006 with a series of jam-packed parties at Area in Vauxhall, Matinee London re-located to the legendary Fridge nightclub in Brixton on New Year’s Day 2008. This road-blocked party cemented Matinee’s position at the top of the gay clubbing hierarchy in the UK.
Matinee London then moved out of South London to the UK’s number one club venue Fabric for a series of cutting edge dance parties throughout 2008, before settling back in Vauxhall at the Super Club Collosseum.
Fast forward to 2009 and Evolved Events and the innovative Matinee group has moved once more: this time to London’s hottest new super club, Cable.
The next instalment of the highly anticipated party takes place on Saturday 26 September, with a mouth-watering line up of both international and London gay scene DJs.
Topping the bill is the Matinee Group’s most in demand DJ,
Jordi Lights.
Jordi has played at the biggest and best clubs in the world, including Space Ibiza, El Divino Ibiza, and legendary Barcelona afterhours, Souvenir.
