PRIDE GUIDE!

The diary's up-to-date (email us if you've updates), the toilets have had their loo roll removed in advance and folks are running around like mad sorting themselves out. If you don't know Pride, here's the rub: big parade then a big main stage with speakers/ entertainment, a huge party in Soho where the roads will be closed and some wholesome stuff in-between it all. Over 1m people are expected. Expect a party atmosphere, big efforts in the dressing up dept people from the north dressed for a Hen Night, vomit (see former), disco bunnies who are only there to party, gurning (see former), moving speeches and everything that makes us proud to be gay- it's our day, jokes aside;)
NB: Team Damaged is off cruising on a boat for the next week so enjoy it:)
Don't forget: you check out your options, get maps and find out what's happening via our mobile site on your smartphone - www.discodamaged.com/mob
>>>IN TOWN: THE PARADE ROUTE
This year the parade will kick off at 1pm from Broadcasting House at the top of Regent Street (map) taking in some of the major sites of London as we swing round through Piccadilly to Trafalgar Square - there you'll find the main stage rammed with London Mayoral candidates, great dedicated genuine campaigners, some folks you thought were dead and a lot of quite good quality entertainment - for free. Dame Edna's the finale:)

>>> AFTER THE PARADE
In Trafalgar Square you'll find an eclectic mix of speakers/ opportunists/ genuine life long campaigners, stalls and a great line-up of main stage performers from 3 p.m. Alternatively, head into Soho where you'll find the streets closed to traffic and a street party in full swing - several options, see below.
>>> MAIN STAGE, TRAFALGAR SQUARE
(They all waive their fees BTW and for some being seen on that stage is a big deal/moment)
This is the latest line-up and this year we don't want to line the up and shoot them. It's correct as of 10.39am Thursday.

:: SOHO, 2pm+ ::
>>> CARNIVAL OF LIFE STREET PARTY, ARCHER STREET BAR (WHAT WAS BARCODE)
Billed a Brazilian carnival you can expect DJ Adam Fabulous, burlesque girls, hot boys in very little clothing and beer. Done in partnership between Barcode and Bocca Di Lupo.
>>> FIRE DANCE STAGE IN SOHO SQUARE
Run by Fire, hugely popular, so get there early to get in or you'll be in a queue - opens 2pm. Sonique's doing a PA and DJ's include Steve Pitron, Mikey D, Fat Tony, Jamie Head, D’Johnny, Gonzalo Rivas, Jonny M, The Oli, Sharp Boys,Verity Mayes and Paul Martin. Surprise guess at 7pm if you're not ga ga by then. No, we doubt it's her too but you never know;) Prepare to be amazed etc.
>>> COMPTONS ANNUAL NO ELECTRIC SHOW
It's a tradition... We dance and exhaust the old place but they soon sort it out. In tight tops and a smile.
>>> LONDON SISTERS ACT OF REMEMBRANCE, ST ANNE'S CHURCH OFF DEAN STREET, 4-5PM
It's not all Lady Ga Ga and gurning. Many folks take the time out to remember those we've lost. The Sisters lead and it's a very private, emotional and important time for those attending and paying their respects. So, please don't try to piss in the bushes in the garden when it's on this year OK?
>>> THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
FYI, St Anne's Church gardens are the designated FAMILY AREA 2-7pm. So, no doing naughty things and if you do make sure you don't do or leave/ lose anything that could confuse, upset, harm or accelerate the kids understanding of the world. Unless their louder than you then Mother's Ruin's just fine... if you've any left.
>>> AFTER ALL THAT? CLUBBING
The official Pride party, Liberation, is at Fire who are giving all profits to charity. 8pm start. It's quite a line-up -see our detailed posting or check it out in the diary. There's also the usual stuff plus Bear Necessities, something about We weeing at the Coronet and the slut huts will all be rammed.
