S.L.A.G.S/CHILL-OUT is the amazingly popular Sunday afternoon and Bank Holiday Monday sessions. Always packed to the rafters every week with an amazing 'no attitude', sexy and fun crowd. Come along and you'll see why it remains Vauxhall's longest running (and busiest) gay event!
The day kicks off at 2pm with SIMON LE VANS (Gaydar Radio) playing current house tunes. Taking to the stage at 5.30pm is our resident superstar cabaret THE D. E. EXPERIENCE.
The CHILL-OUT then takes over at 7pm with DJ ANDY ALMIGHTY (7th Heaven/Club Junkies) playing uplifting commercial house, party anthems and mixes you won’t hear anywhere else. The disco rocks through ‘til midnight with DJ SEAN SIRRS (Love Muscle) at 9.30pm, taking it tougher ‘til close.
End your weekend on a fantastic high, get to the RVT this (and every) Sunday for the biggest party in town.
Useful tip! Sundays at the RVT can be extremely busy. To ensure you do get in pre-show, it is wise to arrive well before 4pm.

At Dr. Sketchy we want to make life drawing more than nude models and serious sketching.
So we've scoured this great city to find beautiful burlesque performers, bizarre circus acts, and rippling hunks of man-flesh.
Then we let them loose on stage to release the artist in you! In between each round of sketching our larger-than-life models you get a chance to grab a drink get comfortable and take in some of the finest burlesque, comedy, music, poetry and quirky cabaret performances the big smoke has to offer.
Dr Sketchy isn't about being an amazing artist, it’s about having a go! So don't be shy and put pencil to paper, move it around and see what happens – you might be surprised! Materials provided, all you need bring is your enthusiasm!

Alp Haydar’s New Vagina
Having earned a TimeOut Critic's Choice for his last show, Alp returns to the RVT, broken and alone, having lost the affections of his Jihadist boyfriend Mohammed due to the electric shock therapy administered by his mother, Sharia Law.
In this new show we see Alp undergoing gender reassignment, in a bid to fool his ex into loving him again, a story of love, betrayal and murder and hate.
Mixing live performance and ambitious video work, this schizophrenic one-man pantomime will leave you dazed and delighted.

EUROFEST
It’s the Summer of Love! At Eurofest we shamelessly celebrate europop all night long, including many tracks from European pop’s spiritual core, the Eurovision Song Contest. DJ Dave Simmons, the UK’s leading Eurovision DJ, and DJ Don Grant bring their 20 years’ experience of playing all things European. Even if you don’t know your ABBA from your Alphabeat, you’ll still feel the rhythm of the night in the vibrant Eurofest atmosphere. And we promise, no R&B!!
AND of course it’s all for charity… With Eurofest taking place as London hosts WorldPride weekend, all proceeds from this event will be donated to Pride London – a volunteer-run charity which relies on your support to run the annual Pride Parade and free entertainment.
Our LIVE ACT this event, jetting in from Stockholm for her first ever UK performance, will be the schlager-tastic SHIRLEY CLAMP. Shirley has had four Top 10 hits in her native Sweden including a Number 1, and three Top 10 albums. Lipsinkers
East London’s pop cultural cabaret ambassadors of alternative drag are heading south.

The LipSinkers are the infamous East London-based troupe of alternative drag performers who create highly innovative and outrageous cabaret shows will now have a resident monthly show at the RVT beginning on April 5th.
The five-strong collective have been resident at Bethnal Green’s Bistrotheque since 2006 and have performed at venues and events as diverse as Glastonbury, The Apple Cart Festival, Bestival, Secret Garden Party, LoveBox, Shambala, Duckie, Shoreditch House, RAC Club, The Green Rooms (Manchester), Black Rabbit Ball (Dublin), The Apelphi (Liverpool), The B-Bar (Plymouth), The Labour Party Conference, etc.
The LipSinkers (Ryan Styles, Lisa Lee, John Sizzle, Blanche Du Bois and Richardette) combine costume, dance, mime, satire and, of course, exceedingly high heels, to take you on an offbeat romp through popular music in all its glorious guises.
Uniquely entertaining and distinctly different, with one overly-lashed eyeball on the pop-cultural horizon this is … “Possibly the most ridiculous, fun night out ever” (The Times).

After a furious bidding war between ourselves and those Olympics people, we won, and have secured none other than Romanian superstars THE CHEEKY GIRLS for the next VOYAGE VOYAGE! – leaving the opening ceremony looking like a shambles, with the dregs of Adele, Leona and some random farm animals.
GABRIELA and MONICA will be performing their hits – ‘Touch My Bum’, ‘Take Your Shoes Off’, ‘Cheeky Holiday’, erm, erm… - live (we assume) especially for you! - and there’ll also be an opportunity to meet the girls after the show in the glamorous RVT dressing room! We love them and their cheeky ways!!
Also on the night, A MAN TO PET, DJBJ, JOHNNY KALIFORNIA and new boy EDCLECTIC will be whisking you back to that dodgy Mediterranean discotheque you thought you’d left far behind in your ‘youth’ – expect plenty of those foreign summer hits from years gone by, plus a wealth of songs about summer and sunshine and going on holiday and stuff.

Take a walk on the dark side with Beth Vyse in her first solo show to the Hot August Fringe. One half of Morris & Vyse and the hit show Daylords, Beth takes you on a fantastical journey following the surreal life of dying RSC actress Betsy Lynn, who meets a plethora of bizarrely outrageous characters.
8.30PM David Mills is Smart Casual
2011 Hackney Empire New Act of the Year, David Mills brings his solo stand-up show to the RVT before his residency at the Edinburgh Fringe. Known for his sharp suits and even sharper wit, Mills’ cutting signature rants take on everything from celebrity to the Olympics, Obama to The Hunger Games.
10PM Myra Dubois – Auntie Myra’s Fun Show
Myra is to kids’ entertainment what Maggie Thatcher was to free milk. Laugh along in a night of half arsed magic and singalong fun. With a trail of angry parents and weeping kiddies in its wake, this is a hilarious show for children of all ages. But don’t actually bring a child; it'll be scarred for life!

Sophia Blackwell is a performance poet who has featured at Glastonbury, Edinburgh, the Big Chill and the Secret Garden Party. Jonathan Kemp is the award-winning author of London Triptych and Twentysix. He will be reading a selection from both books.

In 1981 an altar boy was told by his slightly drunk pastor “One day you’ll grow up to be Bishop”. What he didn’t know was that the boy’s sights were holier, in fact the boy was Jesus resurrected into the body of a fat, black, queer, mango lover who already knew he’d grow into the deliverer of salvation.
