Every weekday July 30 – August 31 except Friday 10 and Monday 27 it's the Hot August Fringe, at London gay club / cabaret venue the Royal Vauxhall Tavern with three shows per day nearly every evening. Click the headline for details. Regular weekday nights are off for the duration replaced by the likes of comedians David Mills and Myra Dubois, Wotever sex education, poet Sophia Blackwell, the undutchable Menno and many many more. The exceptions are Friday August 10 with Anthem Old Skool Reunion and Monday August 27 with the great RVT GMFA Sports Day and bank holiday SLAGS chill-out. Edinburgh eat your heart out!

7PM Beth Vyse – No Turn Unstoned
Take a walk on the dark side with Beth Vyse in her first solo show to the Hot August Fringe. One half of Morris & Vyse and the hit show Daylords, Beth takes you on a fantastical journey following the surreal life of dying RSC actress Betsy Lynn, who meets a plethora of bizarrely outrageous characters.

2011 Hackney Empire New Act of the Year, David Mills brings his solo stand-up show to the RVT before his residency at the Edinburgh Fringe. Known for his sharp suits and even sharper wit, Mills’ cutting signature rants take on everything from celebrity to the Olympics, Obama to The Hunger Games.
10PM Myra Dubois – Auntie Myra’s Fun Show
Myra is to kids’ entertainment what Maggie Thatcher was to free milk. Laugh along in a night of half arsed magic and sing along fun. With a trail of angry parents and weeping kiddies in its wake, this is a hilarious show for children of all ages. But don’t actually bring a child; it'll be scarred for life!

Sophia Blackwell is a performance poet who has featured at Glastonbury, Edinburgh, the Big Chill and the Secret Garden Party. Jonathan Kemp is the award-winning author of London Triptych and Twentysix. He will be reading a selection from both books.

10PM Andra Simons – The Gospel According to Bishop
In 1981 an altar boy was told by his slightly drunk pastor “One day you’ll grow up to be Bishop”. What he didn’t know was that the boy’s sights were holier, in fact the boy was Jesus resurrected into the body of a fat, black, queer, mango lover who already knew he’d grow into the deliverer of salvation.
WEDNESDAY 1 AUGUST
7PM Menno – The Undutchable, Tales of the Nether Regions
Songs and stories of fingers in dykes, faggots and whores, equal opportunity shaggers, and the vagaries of sexual frustration. After 'The Gaydar Diaries' and 'BUTCH - A Queen's Struggle To Become A King', Menno returns.
8.30PM Jayde Adams Master of None.
Originally from Bristol, Jayde Adams is a multi-faceted comedian - a jack of all trades, but a ‘Master of None’. Her frenetic one-woman comedy cabaret showcases her many talents as she skillfully shifts between performance styles and mediums.
Having only been formally trained in competitive disco dancing, she also sings opera, beatboxes, clowns, raps, balloon models, draws, performs stand-up, plays the piano and looks pretty fit dressed as a leopard. She has at various points also been a fish monger, a cartoonist, and a priest in an Inflatable Church (marrying over 400 people in 4 years), and is good at the moonwalk, the robot, fellatio, reads palms (although she’s sceptical because she learned it via YouTube) and knows every word to Forrest Gump (and can recite it on command). She didn’t however, learn to ride a bike until she was 14 and has tried and failed at juggling for years. All of these influences have come together to create this year’s show - an eclectic comedy cabaret experience that is sure to become a must see.
10PM Tyler Matthew Oyer – TMO Live: Gone for Gold
'Gone for Gold' is a cabaret narrative that follows a stage performer who flees the city because he has no love and no money. He leaves the glamour behind and decides to mine for gold. As you can imagine, this doesn't work out as planned.

BURN presents work from across the spectrum of today’s underground video performance, featuring the likes of A Man to Pet (appearing live), Jonny Woo, Ma Butcher, Meow Meow, Up & Over It, EastEnd Cabaret, Fabulous Russella, Clementine the Living Fashion Doll, Holestar, Wilfredo and many more.
Tonight’s BURN also incorporates a full performance of ALP HAYDAR’S EROTIC ADVENTURES IN ATLANTIS. Alp's 'one-man pantomimes' are a unique mix of sex, cinema, satire and Sharia Law. ‘Atlantis’ sees Alp and his jihadist boyfriend Mohammed – sole survivors of a plane crash – fighting for survival on a mysterious island which reveals its secrets through the ultimate battle for truth.

7PM Ste McCabe’s Pussy Whipped
Ste McCabe’s ‘Pussy Whipped’ is an Edinburgh-based queer-feminist bizarre-alternative band night. In-yer-face performances tonight come from Citizen 2, Shrag, Maria and The Gay and Ste McCabe himself.

Wotever World, who host the weekly Bar Wotever at RVT, bring music and a party atmosphere wherever they go. This is gender bending in its rawest form, made by and with the Wotever Crew. Tonight Pussy Whipped and Wotever World combine to create a punk dream come true!

Matt Yee - entertainer/comedian from Hawaii and evidence that Asian men are huge - brings his outrageous adult sing along show to London for the first time! He just sold out two hilarious engagements at NYC’s Laurie Beachman Theater and stars on Atlantis Gay Cruises with Jonathan Hellyer.

Magic boffin Oliver Meech returns to meddle with forces we barely understand. Amazing tricks inspired by astounding science. It’s the Natural Selection!

Michael Twaits and Sandy Foster have been friends since they were 6, and are now reunited on the Wotever stage. Michael is a firm favourite on the cabaret/theatre circuit and a regular at Wotever events. Sandy is a singer and comedian whose quirky songs tell stories rarely told.

Allow yourself to be transported to bourgeois Paris with Nathalie Carrington’s vintage style renditions of Piaf, Brel and Weill sung with passion and finesse. The cabaret act includes a premiere performance of a Philip Ridley poem set to music. The evening is shared with Southern, who are a Belfast based brother/sister band.
10PM Bastian Korff - Sing You Sinners: A Hit Parade of Bad Romances
A dazzling show packed with love songs and stories – from torch songs to indie rock and Gaga-pop to operetta. If you’ve ever wondered how Bonnie Tyler or Kylie’s songs sound in German, you’ll find out; Bastian’s gonna sing some very special German renditions of Britain’s biggest pop and disco hits.

The fabulous Timberlina will again be our host, guiding us through events such as the drag relay, the handbag throw and the 50m mince. There'll also be an outside bar and DJs to entertain us throughout the afternoon and more surprises in store, so whether you're entering a team or just coming along to watch the day promises to be great fun, and a fabulous way to finish off your Bank Holiday weekend!

Hedwig is a queer femme who loves rope bondage and loves to tie with others who love it as much as she does. Faarea Masud will be discussing identity conflict and illustrating the kama sutra for gay Asian people.

Bird puts the fun back in feminism and the camp back in communism. She has been described as a queer pearly queen and a haut couture fishwife.
10PM Ajah UK
Combining music with gender, identity, sexuality, cultural and class politics, Ajah UK are a hip-hop group with a difference. Fronted by Lucidity and Jaheda Choudhury, this group have already been making a name for themselves across the North West, Manchester and Scandinavia.

Andi Fraggs will be bringing a unique show to the RVT, featuring his self-written and produced tracks that deal with issues such as homophobia, addiction, love, suicide, abuse, governments and strength. He will also be performing his dance tracks ‘Beautiful Feeling’ (Gaydar Radio Club Nation Anthem) ‘Addiction’ (Play.com number 1 single) and ‘If It’s Wrong’.
8.30PM Mzz Kimberley & Son of a Tutu – Sister Acts
Sister Acts - a brand new show from Mzz Kimberley and Son of a Tutu - is a journey into the various acts of sisterhood. Conceived especially for ot August Fringe, it will highlight the bonds that bring sisters together and the cogs that ultimately tear them apart.

Join The Frantastics for an hour of Frockabilly - think Elvis & Cash walk through one door and exit the other wearing frocks, well that’s Frockabilly, that’s The Frantastics! Mixing and distilling a musical alchemy, they’re a head on collision of rock ‘n’ roll / country / polka dots and gingham.

Going for gold with the crown jewels on display: East London’s original quintet of cross-dressing superstars return to the HAF with a full pelt performance and after party which closes this year's fringe. It’s a show, it’s a disco, and you’ll be friggin bonkers to miss it!
