Beginning of February we said that ACT ART were calling for artists for their next show at Central Station on May 8th. Well we got it wrong and they've changed it. Its still ACT ART 8 – CENSORED, there are still spaces for a few more artists (apply before 24th April) but it's now at The Islington Metal Works on Friday 9th July 2010, 8pm-4am.
Act Art had a stunning show at Hidden in November and are having their 8th on May 8th at Central Station, Kings Cross. The theme is 'Censored' and they're asking for artists to apply to show their stuff before 15th March. If you dare, click the headline for details.
Act Art 7 returns to club Hidden with Children of the Damned on Friday 6th November. Between 7.30pm and 6am they are going to cram in 60 films, 40 performances and 4 DJs in 10 live spaces. Stars include Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Timberlina and Jonny Wo. Films include 'Starbooty' / Mike Ruiz; 'The Death Of Salvador Dali' / Delaney Bishop; 'Otto; Or, Up With Dead People' / Bruce Labruce. Act Art 7 'Children of the Damned' is coming up on the 6th November in Hidden. They'll have 100 artists, 60 films/videos, 40 live shows across 10 live areas, food & DJ’s. The 6th annual ACT ART address's what's wrong with the world today: negative moral or ethical judgments, cruel, unjust and selfish human behaviour, war and diseases like cancer and Aids .... Stars include Andy Bell from Erasure, French punk diva Chose Chaton, Timberlina from Vauxhallville and Adele Addam's electro- tango striptease.
