Rumour reaches us that Infinity, the b*stard daughter of Bromptons, has shut down for now... We'd say died a death but that's not exactly news. If you have more info we'd really appreciate it as our info is from locals not the venue. We're always sad when we lose a venue and despite That Launch we imagine the boys there did their best so thanks for trying guys. We hear they may try opening one night a week and/ or for special events and if we hear anything, we'll tell you.
The opening of Infinity in Earls Court didn't seem to go too well, but recent reviews are giving better reports. "Place was busy, had a mixed crowd with some really fit lads. Bar staff is very friendly and they are hot!!" Now on Fridays and Saturdays they're doing all drinks for 50p, if you buy an entry wrist band for £20. Club Infinity is at 294 Old Brompton Rd, events are in the gay London calendar.

Fancy yourself as a new singing star? If you're an amateur or a semi pro, here's your chance to be launched on the path to fame. Jason Prince and James Saint James of Klubkidz and Jason's Jukebox are launching a competition with heats in four London venues during November and finals at Area in December. All you have to do is turn up at one of the heats with your backing track or use the Karaoke machine and sing your heart out. First prize includes a paid five gig tour of the venues. All the dates are in that gay London calendar. Venues are The Stag, Infinity, Ego / Southern Pride and Area.

Bromptons is to reopen as "Infinity" and will remain gay and open "day and night". It's grand relaunch is tomorrow night, Friday 1st May. It's great news for Earlcourtinites who have been without anywhere to go except Ted's and the cemetery without spending Oyster points. Read on for the comments and reviews of the opening night.
