We're frisky with the news that our favourite Vauxhall cruise bar is returning to form! Yip, The Eagle on Vauxhall's Kennington Lane will once more be a naughty cruise bar from Monday 17 September. There's a great new line-up and Saturday's have a great XXX new night programmed with all sorts of mischief. So, in summary the popular Tonker, Horse Meat and cinema screenings continue apace and we get our fun bar back on the other nights. Sexy Simon's Carpet Burn will be back for New Year.
Seriously, we've missed our friendly well run local where you can go for a drink and cruise without having to dress up like the Village People. Oh and the boys are replacing old valid memberships for new ones "with benefits".

OMG, WTF?! Vauxhall's Eagle has declared a new era and is opening up to men and women - meaning the backroom's shutting.
So, in short: a new line-up with an emphasis on fun and entertainment where women are welcome too and they're now opening from 6pm with happy hours till 10pm - what with their lovely beer garden it sounds perfect for summer. We wonder if this means windows?!
"Continue reading" for a statement from Eagle's owner, Mark Oakley - it includes the new line-up but exact times and prices are TBC. All change...
Carpet Burn's delectable Martyn has sorted out "80s pop and soul legend" Jaki Graham. She gave voice to Round and Around ad Set Me Free amongst other hits.
Quick heads-up. Carpet Burn have Steve Strange of Visage this Saturday and HMD will play host to the after-show party at Eagle London for the Gay Bingo crew, spearheaded by arch trailblazer Johnny Woo, fresh from the Supper Club over at Portobello. FYI.
We're told that "Unfortunately Pete Burns is unable to make the 2nd due to health problems. The CARPET BURN 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY is now on the 9th October with PETE BURNS and MARK MOORE.
We once queued outside a usually easy to get into club about 15 years ago. When we asked why there was a queue we were told it was for Hazel Dean. Oblivious to who this was I spent the night thinking I was at a benefit night for some new thing until she came on. Then I recognised her from her songs. If you love her songs the good news is that she'll be doing Carpet Burn (quiet the fun night if you haven't been) at Eagle on the 28th. GO!
Correction: we said the 21st in our original post - it's the 28th.
