It has come to the attention of our sister site www.discodamaged.net in Berlin that the gay SM club Quälgeist are having a 'bring your own pet' evening for men and women on June 30. Discodamaged states that we do not endorse bum sex, or any sex or torture, with animals and we are told this is a just about petting and not the heavy petting kind.
As you might notice we've refreshed the design. Red is the new black.
We've made it easier for you to find stuff and made it more cheery. Most of the really really boring stuff has been on our back-end tho - a bit like a douche. We're told. We've also featured our other films (Damaged Films) and got a new partner for buying Club Tickets - we get a few pennies for our lush fund and towards keeping this show on the road!
Thanks for your emails about our fab listings and stuff - it's appreciated. Refresh your browser for new banner if it ain't hurting your eyes already;)
The waiting is over. If you missed the screenings in Hamburg, London or Berlin, now you can see The Bareback Issue by Discodamaged and Alexander Huber.
We just had a quick peek at our stats - readership, not views on Gaydar. Anyways, seems a total lack of attention to poof reading and a focus on listing London's more alternative clubs is proving a massive hit. We had over 277,000 visitors over the past year with a hardcore of about 50,000.
That's 1/4 to 1/3 of QX and Boyz and our readers are seeking out the filth not just flicking through. If you advertise with us you're getting a f*cking bargain compared to their rates. Sadly, given our predilection for naughtiness, the likes of British Airways Ford and Unison aint beggin' to advertise;) We'll keep the day job and Damaged a comedy farce on the side.
Advertisers: we can send you stats verified by google Analytics or grant you access if you want.
We're not doing very well with being banned right now. After being banned by Google ads in Berlin and probably London too, Youtube banned our trailer of The Bareback Issue, so here it is on Vimeo. Click the headline for more info.
After claims and counter claims about what's happening with gay sex and barebacking we decided to find out more - and not by just trying out a few sex parties. We interviewed people in London and Berlin who do it, doctors who know about it and we dropped in on a debate at the RVT in London.
Youtube have banned this innocuous trailer. Please go here to view it on vimeo. Today Discodamaged teams up with Pink Sixty News so you can get sixty seconds of international gay news every day. You can watch it every day very small in the sidebar on the right or click there for a bigger version.
We know discodamaged works okay on smartphones but sometimes you just need some basic info when you're out - especially when vision's impaired. To that end we've made a site for smartphones that gives you the all basics you might need when you're out and about.
Mobile site Go to www.discodamaged.com/mob or follow the on Mobilelink to try it. Mostly it works well on iPhones and Android.
Feedback We're up for any updates you'd like added about your venue, technical suggestions and stuff - just email us.
Happy Easter from the team;) "Continue reading" for more information...
RVT Queer Question Time – the HIV issue – is this Friday the 29th. It will be informative, lively and a party. The discodamaged film crew will be there to collect material for their upcoming mini-documentary on barebacking. We'll be interviewing people who do it and medical experts who deal with it. Here's a 20 second trailer:

Fitladz tell us that they are number 1 "and that's official". We don't know what made it official, but we do know that in the last month (June 14-July 14) the Fitladz page on discodamaged was the second most popular club night. The top 3 were 1. Nudity 2. Fitladz 3. Vault 139 Sex smells. ;-) Read on for the Fitladz take.
Discodamaged has partnered with Gay Apple. It's a free classified ad site especially for gay men in London and further afield with sections on flat and house shares, labour, gay escorts, photography, bars, clubs, hotels, "sauners" and more. We're not quite sure what sauners are. If you want saunas, go to our SAUNAS AND SEX CLUBS page. Gay Apple is at http://london.gayapple.co.uk/.
Yesterday Saturday 26 June Discodamaged London had 1,437 visitors. That is a record daily high for us. Thanks for coming! This year has also been good for us. We had record visitors in January (20,098). A slight fall in the short month of February and every month since then has set a new record high with 21,894 in May. We've already had 19,550 to Jun 26 so confidently expect another record in June. We love that you're into your clubbing and come to us to find out what's going on.. and aren't just somebody bored in a bar flicking through a mag that's under the control of the clubs.
We don't normally bother talking about the number of visitors we have but recently somebody has been spreading scurrilous rumours that "readers of DD have been in sharp decline". That's crap but don't take our word for it - "continue reading" for more info and how we can prove it. We don't know who has been spreading these rumours, but we've got a pretty good idea. If you've heard this childish lie, do leave a comment who you heard it from. If you don't want to name names say something like 'a friend who goes clubbing a lot' or 'the doorman at the Rose and Crown'. Or email editor@discodamaged.com. Or bugger it, we must be doing something right for some twat to want to hurt us:) It's the kind of cr*p we aint about.
We're no longer able to list Orange events folks (for example the back to back beyond and Rudeboiz move). We know many of you think we're in Orange's pay but we're not and now they've blacklisted us from their listings as they get so annoyed with us. We'll try to keep the calendar up to date on the Orange front. We won't compromise our principles about impartiality, letting folks have their say so long as there's no personal abuse. Scene politics are vicious, we can never know what's true and we also know that we can't get mired in it. We really try to keep everybody happy but some folks be they clubbers, venue owners, DJs or whatever, will never be. We're possibly the most hated site on the net for that ;) We get sad when we can't make you all happy tho but Damaged is a work of love, aint making us rich and we need to keep true to ourselves and the Damaged mission.
Dear Pandolf, Thanks very much for the four reviews you posted on Monday. You are so good that I elevated you to discodamaged author and made them separate articles (see below). It makes the reviews much more accessible from the map and the CLUBS BARS list, so people can read them in months to come. In order to do this I have had to borrow your name. I hope you don't mind and allow us to continue to do this. If you do mind, then just let me know at george@discodamaged.com and I will unravel everything. Thanks again, George PS I would have preferred to email you about this, but I don’t have your email :-( and, with your permission, I'll continue to occasionally post things for you.
Hello people! We do like comments on discodamaged but the constant whinging about Vauxhall / Fire / Area is getting beyond tiresome and boring. I go to Area and Fire and Union and the rest and they all do a reasonable job. Lots of other people enjoy them too. If you don't, go somewhere else and tell us about the somewhere else. I have deleted quite a few of the recent comments and for the time being will delete EVERY moaning comment about clubs in Vauxhall. I am now going out and getting very very drunk.
Over at discodamaged Berlin we've been filming interviews with people who live in the city, which can lay claim to be the gay capital of the world. We interview all kinds of people: performers, artists, club promoters and the man on the Kreuzberg omnibus and we've had over 1,000 views since the beginning of March. They are released every two weeks on a Friday at 5pm and there's a new one with transgendering bookshop owner Sophie out today. If you want to get a taste of Berlin life you can see the whole lot here.
We get people complaining that we don't censor enough and we get people complaining that we censor too much. Well here's the rules again:
"Seen somebody getting personal and bitching? Email us now telling us where and we'll look into it. Our policy it to delete all abusive comments and ban those making them.
DISCODAMAGED is here to share information about gay clubbing and bars in London. It's not here to correct the rights and wrongs of the world. Please keep comments on the subject."
Bitching includes racism!
And finally Positive comments are much more interesting thatn negative. If you must say something negative - keep to the facts.
And if you want to know more about the grief we get from abuse click here or read TERMS OF USE in the Welcome sidebar
