As the Jesuits say, "Give me the boy, I give you the man". Or as the Catholic priests say: "Give me the boy... now!". Here we see footage from inside the Pope Emerectus's bunga bunga monastery... They're actually legal and were washed before being taken to (his kneeling required) Forgive-me-tron confession buffette.
Most Muslim MPs vote for gay marriage. Surprised? We were but then when all you see in the media are the minority of extremists preaching hate you could be forgiven. Peter Tatchell writes with news that some of those that voted in favour have received death threats - as usual, by some self-appointed historic hysterics who claim to speak for all Muslims when they don't.
It's increasingly ridiculous that modern British Muslims are tarred with the same easy stereotypes delivered by the media who find a better story provided by *rse holes seizing the limelight said media provided them. It's not that long since the Catholic Church tried dispelling rumours the earth was flat. Heck, creationists are still at it and their still against gay marriage?! We all have our crosses to bare;) Perhaps best to remember that all religions were made up in less educated times but the basic message of love and peace is the core humanity in all religions and their future.
We’re really enjoying the buzz of this historic weekend. Her Majesty, not Madge (seen here curtsying as she should) you idiots, but HM The Queen has been the one constant in our lives. She’s been there with us, our parents, our grandparents for Gods sake... and so many others through her reign. She’s been there. We felt for her when she lowered that flag... which was odd.

PinkNews writes "A film by a gay man whose partner died before they could legally marry, and his plea for marriage equality on the anniversary of the accident which took his life, has been viewed half a million times in three days." Powerful stuff.
Muslim students at the scandal hit Metropolitan Uni have reacted angrily to the uni's plans to ban alcohol from parts of campus on their behalf have issued a stinging rebuttal. They say the Vice Chancellor Professor Malcolm Gillies has used them as the excuse for not renewing expensive bar licenses - effectively scapegoating them. Muslim students now fear it's only a matter of time before one of them is assaulted.

Transport for London has banned Anglican Mainstream's "Get Over It" ads. TfL said they were against their committment to a "tolerant and inclusive London". Mayor Boris is quoted on PinkNews (who broke the story) saying that "It is clearly offensive to suggest that being gay is an illness that someone recovers from and I am not prepared to have that suggestion driven around London on our buses.”
Thanks to Tom for flagging up TfL's tweet. Loads more quotes over at PinkNews.
Anglican Mainstream has launched an ad campaign in response to Stonewall's "Some people aregay. Get over it" campaign - see below.
The angry Anglicans say Stonewall's ad is an “attempt to close down critical debate about being gay and marriage ‘equality’” and that it encourages kids to be gay. You can encourage people to turn gay?! Yes! They say there is "no indisputable scientific evidence that people are ‘born gay’, and that they have no choice but to affirm their homosexual feelings".
Two things. First, they can only afford 26 ads for two weeks. Second, did you read our article (below) about the research suggesting homophobes are just emotionally retarded closets?
ps: we love a line on their website that says "LGBT Education damages children". Yip, education destroys lives.
Religious news. The police have said no criminal charges will be brought after a Catholic Priest inadvertently showed a primary school gathering 16 gay porn pictures.
So says the Metro newspaper: "A vicar claims a potato got stuck up his bottom after he fell on to the vegetable while hanging curtains in the nude. The clergyman, in his 50s, told medical staff at Sheffield's Northern General Hospital that the accident was definitely not due to a sex game." Nice to see patient confidentiality means something in Sheffield. Read more here...
Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell has won this year's award for Secularist of the Year. He was presented with the £5,000 Irwin Prize by the author and freedom of expression campaigner Nick Cohen, at a ceremony in London hosted by the National Secular Society (NSS) on Saturday, 17 March 2012.
Apparently the ban on heterosexual civil partnerships will remain and religions will be barred from hosting gay marriages, even if they want to. What's the point then?

The old saying goes something like "you might disagree with what the f*cking idiot says but you'd fight for his right to go on about it". Well, not with today's Thought Police who have claimed another scalp in their PC war on idiots we disagree with but should really leave be.
Aeh? Well, "Trafford Housing Trust was wrong to demote and cut the salary of Christian housing manager Adrian Smith over remarks he made on his personal facebook page, opposing churches being forced to conduct same-sex marriages," said Peter Tatchell.
Mr Tatchell has written to THT, urging them to reconsider their decision.
DD SAYS! Most right thinking gays wouldn't dream of a church wedding for a million sensible reasons beginning with It Doesn't Want You There Getting Married to Another Man. Some churches don't mind which is great for Christian gays (sic) but forcing the rest aint fair and sacking a guy for just saying so in a personal capacity is as disgusting as gay guerilla brides wanting their day in a church so they can get nice pics. "Continue reading" for Tatchell's much saner take on matters...
On the day a poll says half of Britons are against gay marriage, the Office for National Statistics (phwoar!), says “Early figures suggest that marriages are more likely to end in divorce than civil partnerships are to end in dissolution. After four years, 5.5% of marriages had ended in divorce, compared with 2.5% of civil partnerships that had been dissolved, according to figures for 2010."
Do the figures stack up? "Continue reading" to find out...
Mugabe, entrapment, the Pope - this fascinating interview covers all of Peter Tatchell's remarkable 44 years of campaigning. A kinda gay history action movie with a twist at the end - you know, where the boy's meant to get the girl?! (Flash...)
When the going gets tough, the weak distract folks with a populist campaign shifting attention away from the real problems - as is happening in Cameroon where gays are being scapegoated horribly in an organised witch-hunt. Again, helped along by the religious smelling a cheap opportunity to spread hate.
We know petitions are ten a plenty but this place needs our cash so your voice does matter. So, before you take your fun seeking ass out tonight for some gay abandon, remember your voice can make a difference for those who can't - use your voice now.
