DD REVIEW: VAULT 139

Vault 139 is the Man Bar reincarnated in town minus the rat run of fun that was the journey from the tube to its outrageously dodgy looking former entrance.  We must admit that we did have a soft spot for Man Bar as we always knew that once there (usually on a Sunday) we'd get a warm welcome into hallowed innards. 
 
So, what do we think of its replacement?  Well, as we take sex venues very seriously we took The Whole of Team Damaged there enmasse on Saturday evening to pass judgement.  Quite a brave move given that the last time we all arrived enmasse at the doors of some poor unsuspecting sex venue we all ended up in an unsightly scrum over the one hottie that was there.  We think he escaped the by crawling under our legs tho how he managed without his Trophy Trousers we don't know…

READER REVIEW: VAULT 139

Vault 139 is a new cruise bar in central London. It replaced Manbar a few months back. Readers anhonestview and UltraBlue visited recently and here are their views. Vault 139 is at 139-143 Whitfield Street, W1T 5EN.

LAST CHANCE AT MANBAR

Manbar have their last night Thursday 28th August. Boots only 8pm-1am. It's got to be a good one. Also Vault 139 will be closed Sat  20th Sept. Due to roadworks! It's beyond their control. It's out of the gay London calendar.

Manbar will be closing its doors for the final time on Thursday 28th August after Boots Only, and moving to their new venue at Vault 139. Vault 139 is situated at 139b-143 Whitfield Street, W1T5EN.
Entry times: Mon - Sat 4pm till 1am.  Sunday 1pm till midnight. Cruise, naked or underwear. Entry £4-£7 includes 1st drink and cloakroom if your clothes are off. Its all in the gay London calendar.

VAULT 139 OPENS 24 JULY

Vault 138, from the Manbar crew, is opening on Thursday 24 July for a boots only night. Its at 139-143 Whitfield Street, W1T 5EN (next to Army Surplus shop). Its on your gay London map and in the gay London diary.

VAULT 139

Manbar will be opening a second London gay venue soon. They're being very coy about where it is. So far all we know that it will be called Vault 139 and offer the same selection of nights as Manbar but in a larger, more comfortable air conditioned space. It will also have extended hours from 1pm till 1am , sensible door prices with entry including your 1st drink on every session. It's "close to Warren St and Goodge St tube stations". We don't think its 139 Tottenham Court Road, unless its hidden inside Warren St Tube. Any other ideas?
